ANNOUNCING OF RESULTS & AWARDS: 9PM.
Each band will receive a written appraisal from our panel of international adjudicators and Diploma in Band Performance (Open Division/I/II) based on the following merit:
Gold
90.00% and above
Silver
80.00% - 89.99%
Bronze70.00% - 79.99%
Certificate
Below 70.00%
Marking Scheme
The adjudicators will judge the performance based on the following criteria:
1. Sound
a. Intonation
b.Tone Quality
c. Balance
2. Technique
a. Technique
b. Articulations
c. Ensemble Musicianship
d. Rhythm
3. Musical Performance
a. Phrasing
b. Dynamics
c. Interpretation
Final result will be the averaged mark given by all adjudicators, rounded up to 2 decimal places.
Results will be announced at the end of each session.
In the case of a draw between two or more bands, the Division winner will be decided by adjudicators' vote.
Penalty
Performance time exceeding stipulated by 1 second or more will result in 5% deduction of final marks.
Tuning Room & Warm-Up
Each participating band will be entitled to use the Tuning Room for 15 minutes (division I/II)
8 more days
note: if high notes are sharp it may be because we're thinking too high in our mind, some goes to low notes. dont go too soft when its not that soft. phrasing is a must. lets make our playing touch the judges, even if we dont get any award, at least we put in the effort (:

Cultural Night
kkkkkkkk , i know you know whats ur mistake.learn from ur mistake and do the best for competition that is coming in 11 days
have self consiousness , have discipline , follow instrution ,
they say no talking means no talking.
i know i talk too , but i will learn and never do it again.
so what if you're sec1 , you will be sec2 in a few months time
mr lim say .
talk more you will miss more
why ?
because you are not calming down , you are not mentally prepared
and the results you will get is wrong notes , wrong rhythm.
look at mr lim and follow,
dont just stare at ur score
no early no late.
interact { i dunno hwo to spell } with mr lim ,
feel the music , dont just play through
be in tune , listen to SL
soft and loud must be more obvious (?)
lets not think about cultural night anymore , what over is already over
work hard for what is coming next
even if we dont get any award for competition , at least we put in effort right ?
lets not disgrace ourself already ! (:

ok , tmr is cultural nighttttttim excited , are you ?
must rmb what mr lim and ms loh say and APPLY

and if you dont rmb , whats the use for them to say ?

must rmb that we changed place already :D
and under the flag of glory, B , only catherine and daniel is playing , kaihong will join in at C .

after that we will wait for the curtain to close then we will move out ,
